Your First Visit to Our El Dorado Practice

Reception AreaThe primary purpose of the first visit is to gather information about you and your concern or situation.

You will first start out by checking in at the front desk when you arrive. You will then proceed to fill out all of the necessary paperwork. Next you will be brought to a consultation room where you and the doctor will discuss your problem. If you consent to an examination, that will follow.

Following the exam, the doctor may need to take some x-rays of your spine to better understand how your body is adapting. After all of this is completed, you will make your way back to the front desk to check out and schedule an appointment for your next visit.

A few important things to remember:
  1. Be prepared to discuss your condition and any other sensitive matters that may or may not be related. Problems that you think are not related are often the most important thing.
  2. Bring your insurance card (if you have insurance).
  3. Bring a list of any and all medications you are currently taking or have taken for an extended period of time.
  4. This visit may take about an hour to an hour and a half. So please plan accordingly.
We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

El Dorado chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Marcus Asks some important questions of interest to El Dorado residents - Chiropractor El Dorado Dr. Marcus Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
